Ribbon or elastic coraages?

Alexis, on June 19, 2022 at 5:43 AM Posted in Planning 1 4
This is probably way overthinking at this point, but I'm doing all the flower arrangements and such myself, and I can't decide if I should do elastic or ribbon corsages for moms and grandma's. Ribbon I feel might be annoying and have to be retied, but elastic can also be itchy. Just looking for some opinions on which I should pursue as I finish up everything for the wedding soon

I would think that the elastic might be better in regards to it staying in place.

I think the ribbon might be the better option. It won’t be worn for a long period of time. If it has to be retied I don’t see that being an often issue.

Is this a wrist corsage? If so, please do fabric covered elastic. Speaking from experience as a guest who was given a wrist corsage (I was originally supposed to be a bridesmaid but she gave me a corsage instead which I loved just as much), ribbon ties are horrible. They do not stay tied longer than the time it takes to re-tie them, which you will be asking people to do most of the event until you give up and put it on the table. If you don’t want to do a pin corsage, go with fabric covered elastic or a small Velcro strip sewed onto the fabric bracelet. The weddings we have attended, aside from that one experience with the ribbons that didn’t stay tied longer than a couple seconds, everyone with corsages and boutonnières wore them all night.

Hi have seen on Amazon or Esty the wrist corsages I also think they also may have a Velcro that it be another way for them as well. I hope that this helps
