Ribbon wands--- send off or after ceremony?

In thinking of doing the same with the ribbons as we leave our Ceremony. But my thing is after the ceremony we aren't leaving right after cause we will be taking pictures right after the ceremony of me and the groom and wedding party and all that came to the ceremony.

Seems like it may photograph better in daylight unless you don’t care about capturing a photo of it

I just made my ribbon wands and I’m putting them on each chair of the ceremony location. And the officiant will make a comment for the guests to wave them in celebration at the end so that will be our photo op. I’m a professional photographer and I’ve seen too many exits go bad after drinks and late nights. It’s like herding cats IMHO.

That picture is super cute! That would be fun to replicate, though have a think, maybe with your photographer, about how you would stage it. If you process out of the ceremony first where will your guests be, and how will they know when to use the wands

Love the idea - I may just do something similar!! We aren't doing a send off because we plan to be there late and know people will leave earlier than us. But it's still a nice photo-op, so this is a perfect alternative!
