Rigged my Cricut to Address Envelopes Today! So Happy!

nicolemrobbins, on August 7, 2017 at 11:30 AM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 27

I found a way to address all my envelopes using my cricut today so they look hand written without the cramps or price tag. If anybody wants to know how to do this let me know and I can let you know!

Cricuts are the best! I've used it for years in Education but I've made my invitations and save the dates using it, I think all together for materials it cost me $200. What I'm not accounting for it my man hours on it, which is probably close to 12 hours of work because I made them more complicated than they needed to be haha

I'm totally thinking of making a guide after I see how this goes because I definitely learned some things that didn't work through it! Haha If there isn't a WW cricut group I think we need to create one! It would be so helpful!

Oh yeah Cricut has the pens that do this but I never found them to look too good.

Sharpies and other specialty pens that fit have always been the way to go!

Yeah I did my trials using Cricuts pens and it looked terrible. This is a Uniball Gel Pen rigged to fit in and I did another part of our decorations using Sharpie markers. I also made the mistake of ordering Navy blue envelopes without thinking of how I was going to label them or I wouldn't have discovered how to make my Cricut do it for me!

Yes, please make a group. I hadn't even heard about one until WW so I'd be a total rookie and would need tons of tips lol

I would love to know how you did it! I love my circuit but I definitely underutilize it!

Love it! If I had dark envelopes I would do that for sure, but so far it seems that just printing directly on them is a huge time saver!

There is a FB group called Cricut Wedding and those girls are so crafty! It's not WW related, of course!

I'll definitely make a guide after I finish printing and can get back on my canvas! I will absolutely say that Step 1 is finding a good Netflix show to background marathon because it is a little time consuming but if you're good at multitasking you can do something else while cricut is doing it's thing too

My FSIL just bought one and I am so excited. She said I can use it after she tries it out. I will for sure take a copy of that guide when you are done lol
