Ring Bearer "Proposal" Box

Cookjay, on May 30, 2017 at 4:05 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 16

We're planning on asking our little ring bearers to be a part of the wedding this weekend!

I know the "proposal" box idea is super unnecessary to some brides. As for me and my group of friends, those little extra details and steps mean the world! With that being said, I DIYed boxes for the ring bearers!

Spent a about $10 for both boxes. Super cheap and it's so much fun! I attached a photo for some inspiration!

Way way way to early to ask anyone. Wait till 6-8 months for asking BP

Also maybe wait a little longer for the kids as they don't understand time. You ask them to do something and they aren't going to understand that it's in a year

@helena I don't really care if it's too early. Pretty confident in my choices for the bridal party! But thanks for the advice! It's my godson birthday this weekend and I wanted to ask on his birthday! If I wait til NEXT birthday, it will be way too close to the wedding date.

Any other day to ask is just not as special! But once again, thanks for the tip!

Cute box! I don't want to start a new thread, but curious how old is too old for a ring bearer? Google says 10. FSIL wants to know if her son is going to be our ring bearer, which was my original plan. But then FH said no, he's way too old (12). Thoughts?

I think you're responding to me Melissa... sorry if I'm wrong. It's my soon to be nephew (sister in laws son).

@Chelsea - I think ring bearers can be any age, especially if they are an important person in your life! I have even seen photos online of grandmothers being flower girls!

    I second @mrs.larson

Their shouldn't be an age restriction. Your bridal party are your nearest and dearest friends and family. Even at any age and for any position. I had a friend that had her son(13) as a RBearer. They had no groomsmen and they still wanted the son to be a part of the day
