Has anyone gotten insurance on their rings? If so who did you go through? I wanted to go through jewelry mutual, but that’s going to be almost $900 a year which seems insane but I have no frame of reference so idk?

I’ve got StateFarm as a personal articles policy. I wanted to go with Jewelers Mutual because of all of the great reviews, but after discussing with StateFarm they were going to have the same coverage (theft, loss, disappearance, etc) for 200$/year less than if I used JM Smiley smile

Just add it to your home owners or renters insurance. It shouldn't be more than a few dollars a month.

How expensive is your ring? I insured mine through the same company I get renter’s insurance from. The value of my ring is $4000 and I think I pay about $100 per year

That’s how mine was too, it’s almost $500 a year cheaper!

That’s what I’m going to do, it’s about $33 a month but still way less than jewelry mutual.

My ring was definitely on the expensive side, but I think the jewelry mutual quote was just crazy. My renters insurance will have almost an identical policy for $400 a year. I’m just need to decide if I’m going to I sure my band as well.

My FH got my ring at zales. so we just insured through them. i think it was like 10% of the ring but its a lifetime warranty for the diamond and the rest of the ring itself.

It's crazy how much cheaper too!

Statefarm did tell me it has to be as a personal articles policy because if you insure it with the homeowners policy you run into the home deductible. And as i type I can't but look at how beautiful my ring is! Smiley love

Yessss, that's my question now. Should I insure the band? Both of our bands combined will be $3k, which is so much cheaper than my e-ring so I'm unsure if it should get insured or not....
