Ring Pops

jenna, on June 28, 2015 at 4:45 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 18

So my fiance just came to me and asked could we put ring pops inside of the wedding favor boxes. I think it is neat but idk. What other unique ideas could i use for a wedding favor?

I did ring pops and mints! People loved them.

I don't like the ring pop idea myself-it seems like a favor for a child's birthday party. I do think it's cute when asking bridesmaids to stand up with you.

I bought them at candywarehouse.com. To each their own. our wedding was not super formal and everyone there thought the ring pops were adorable. These were just part of our little favors we did though, we did home brewed beer a his and hers.

I think the idea is growing on me. I would like to find them in our wedding colors, yellow gray and white but i might just stick to the multi-pack

It surprisingly adds up when you start looking at candy. We originally wanted to do personalized m&m's and have them in our colors as c&c's as both our first names start with c. Ends up personalized m&m's are like $150 for a 5lb bag. Ridiculous!

Ring pops are sticky and taste gross. Skip them.

God no. It's a wedding not a child's birthday party.

Unless you are having a really casual wedding (one with a lot of kids involved), I'd skip the ring pops; they are pretty childish, imo

What is the difference between ring pops in the favor bag and a bulk candy bar? I never understood why adults attending an adult affair would be excited about a candy bar.

I wouldn't do it. I think a nice chocolate would be better.

Not a fan. It's a cheap candy that doesn't taste good. I'd leave mine on the table.

Since you're getting married in the fall, how about something fall-ish (caramels, pumpkin or apple flavored something, etc.)?

My fiance and I took engagement pictures with a ring pop. Were on a tight budget and are getting hitched 5mo after the proposal, so we decided to skip the engagement ring. Plus all of the many reasons i never want to wear a diamond. I'm rambling...

The pictures were Playful, Not Childish. There's a distinction there that needs to be made. Especially if you have planned a casual wedding, and all the guests know the couple to be playful people. Then i think it's totally acceptable. If it makes sense to you, do it. It's your wedding!
