how do i get past it? i’ve spent about 2 months convincing myself i love my ring and sometimes i do but most of the time i just feel extremely meh about it. it’s a beautiful ring but i don’t think it’s my style and i feel like i was pressured into it by the salesgirl, but there’s not much i can do about it now. i originally wanted a simple gold bezel set oval or emerald stone and ended up with a white gold elongated oval in a more detailed milgrain-ish band. it’s past the “return for store credit” date, it wasn’t cheap, and we really don’t have any expendable income, so i can’t just go get something else. i feel like an idiot because i specifically chose it for myself and absolutely loved it when i picked it. but it never wowed me after i picked it up. where do i go from here? will i grow to love it over time? i’m hoping if i can just find a beautiful band to go with it for when we get married next year it’ll help. idk, i guess i’m just hoping for similar experiences or advice. not sure what group to put this is so forgive me if i get it wrong.
