Ring Repair Cost Rant

Wow that is crazy expensive! I'm glad you are going to get to Argentina to have it fixed. I am lucky that the jeweler who made mine is literally right around the corner from us since my e-ring is getting fixed right now. I looked down on Monday and noticed one of the smaller side stones was missing so he's fixing it for free and super inspecting it to make sure the rest of them are nice and secure.

All of the US jewelers I talked to said they'd have to source the silver which means it'd be a special order so I'd have to pay whatever cost it is for them to get it.

View Quoted Comment Insurance would be an option but the jeweler in Argentina is my husband's uncle so we may skip the insurance if his shop will continue to fix it for free. The cost of our insurance going up for a claim may not be worth it if we can just wait and have it be free.

We went really cheap with our rings. My original wedding band was this skinny hollow rose gold band but my MIL gifted me this gorgeous ring. I wear my other ring for dressing up as a right hand ring.

Wow! I feel like this is a good PSA for eternity bands! Hope the original jeweler can fix it like you mentioned!
