"Ring Security" Ring Bearers: Mission Impossible Style

Deidra, on July 21, 2021 at 10:14 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 6
I wanted to know some tips to doing a Mission Impossible themed ring bearer entrance. Two boys, one is 2, the other is 5. I like the whole idea of giving them a chance to get their wiggles out before the "boring" part of the ceremony & to include them, thus entertaining them.

Mom suggested getting a cheap combination lock box so they can't lose the "rings" (they're not getting the real ones in that box). I'm thinking give the 2 y/o the simple task of running down the aisle & the 5 y/o the task of "covering" the other boy.
But where in the ceremony should they enter? I considered having an adult hold them back with the DJ & then, after I do my walk, Pastor does a "ring check", cue Mission Impossible theme & ring bearer entrance.
That's MY idea, anyways. Metaphorical penny for your thoughts?

This sounds like a cute idea and I think it's fine to just have them walk down the aisle. However, I've worked with kids that age and I can tell you it won't be enough time to "get their wiggles out." It sounds like this part will take less than a minute and they'll need more than that! Hopefully you can have them taken to a separate room with a babysitter or something afterwards, so they can just play.

I like your "ring check" idea!! 💍 I think that gives the Mission Impossible music some fun context!

Aw, I love that idea!! I have not heard of that before. How original. I am having my cousin 7-year-old cousin walk right before me!

Alas it's been done a few times. I'm not sure when it became a trend, but Amazon & Etsy bith have Ring Security stuff.

I think it would be really cute! The 5 year old is likely old enough to actually follow direction! The 2 year old much less so (especially if he is more shy or doesn't do well with "strangers/people" he doesn't know. I seriously considered having an almost 3 year old be the "ring barer" for my wedding & after much conversation with both his mom & my now husband we decided against it ~ ultimately deciding he was just too young. IF the boys are brothers &/or spend a lot of time together that could work to your advantage!
