Ring Shopping: Modern or Traditional?

Pretty modern! We went shopping together and I made a list of my top 3 for him to pick from!

Traditional! I was completely surprised

I found the ring when we were out and about shopping on day and the saleslady wrote down the ring info and size on her card (smart lady, lol) I gave it to FH and forgot about it. But I guess he held on to it for months until he went and purchased it.

My grandmother wanted me to use her ring, and I love it. So before she passed she told my fiance she had a feeling we were getting married and wanted him to save the money for a honeymoon and to know I had the ring already.
She was right and we took her advice. Grandma's know best!

Traditional because when I showed him what I liked he already had the ring! An absolute beautiful surprise

We looked a rings a few times over the course of a year. The weekend he proposed he sent me several pictures of rings I told him which one I liked the most. He proposed 2 days later so I guess I did pick it out but didn't know that I was.

Traditional, he did it all and I loved that!

He knows me better than I know myself, also I had no idea he was planning on proposing so we were pretty traditional on that part, but the ring itself is pretty non-traditional☺️

Strangely, we did both! My fiancé (bless his little heart) tried to coyly figure out my ring size by seeing how far down his pinky finger one of my rings went. Needless to say, it did not end up well LOL It was so far off, we were unable to resize it due to potentially compromising the integrity of the ring. So, instead of ordering another one, we created my ring together and had it made. I loved the ring he proposed with, but I also love the fact we created the one I ended up with together; and it’s exactly what I want

It was a mix, I am a jeweler so we designed it together based on what we had and could buy.

Both, I suppose. My MOH helped him choose a ring that would be perfect. So I ended up with a white gold band an a princess cut black diamond PERFECT!

Completely modern I guess, FH & I had plenty conversations about it, and went shopping together multiple times. I ended up sending him two options and told him to pick one. He was so excited I knew when it came and tried it on a couple times before the proposal. None of it took away from the moment

I showed him a Pinterest board I had made of rings I liked, then had him describe why I liked some but not others until I knew he was ready to choose for me!

I picked out his ring (still a surprise to him) and he let me choose mine. Both of our rings are matching, slight colour difference.

While I did send some "inspiration pictures" I had zero involvement in the choosing of my ring... and honestly I couldn't have picked a better ring myself!

Modern, mostly. He did propose (after sending me on a four hour scavenger hunt!) with a Ring Pop, until we were able to pick my ring out together. I'm so glad we did!

I'm sure whatever he ended up choosing on his own would have been fine but I wanted a say in what I would be the one wearing
