Hey guys!

I’m in sooooo in love with my engagement ring!!!🙂😝🥰 I cannot stop looking at it.
So my my budget is 40k and I told my wedding planner that I want to go low like 25,000 instead of 40,000 and And I explain to her why I want to go low she listens to me out but she said she plan on me to stay at 40,000 idk why? But should I go low on my budget or listen to my wedding planner and stay at the 40k because I don’t know what the venue, vendors etc price will be in 2023? I need help I’m only having 100-150 people but if things don’t turn out right my plan B is 75-80 people officially

Please don’t be rude about it or come harsh on me because things are not working out good for me so you have to put others peoples down. If you have negative comments keep there to your self if don’t comment at all!!!!!!!🗣🗣🗣 my last post was will negatively comments and I didn’t ask for that kind of in put!!!!!!

So have you booked the venue? Has the venue directly said they may go out of business or is this your own fear because of everything that's going on these days? Honestly if that was a concern for me and it wasn't booked yet, I would look else where for my own peace of mind.

I just going to work with 25-30k but what i version my venue I think I have to work in the 30-40k but I don’t want that I want my dream wedding but still be in the 25-30k or less then that.

That’s really strange, because theoretically if you’re booking now you should be locked into their current prices. Stick with the budget you’re comfortable with, don’t let her pressure you into spending more than you want. You should easily be able to have an 80 person wedding in under 25k. We had a 100 person wedding for about 17k

I haven’t book nothing yet because my wedding is on 6-12-2023 and no venue said that they don’t have a price that far out. And booking that far out my plans was to wait until 2022 to find the price and add everything up

California is definitely more expensive, but since you plan on getting married on a Monday then it will probably be cheaper. I will say a Monday wedding isn't ideal for guests though because most people work. I would hold off on planning anything right now because like you said things could go out of business. Not sure why you are waiting so long to get married when you seem so excited to plan.

Okay I never would have wanted to wait that long to get married. I also would recommend checking with those closest to you and your fiance to make sure a Monday wedding would be doable for them. I know that would be extremely difficult for me because I would likely have to take off Monday and Tuesday.

Weekday weddings are pretty uncommon so I don't think you will have a difficult time securing the date you want.

That's totally fine. You do you Smiley smile N to be mean, but I would expect a lot of guests to decline, leave early or be late because traffic sucks. I would just hate to see you spend all that money for a bunch of your guests to not show up. Also, not sure what type of atmosphere you want for your wedding, a Monday is definitely not a party vibe.

I'm not sure whether this has been mentioned already but here are a couple of things to keep in mind:

    - Monday's do not give off a party vibe. If you're ok with your wedding possibly being low key then it may be ok. But if you're looking for a party ( dancing and drinking late into the night) then I would very much recommend doing it on a Saturday. - Monday weddings likely require people take time off work. They may need to take both Monday and Tuesday off which isn't always possible. I would expect a higher than usual rate of declines, or you could have people come late or leave early because they cannot take the days off. - 25k+ for a Monday wedding that has less than 150 people sounds really steep to me. I'm having a Saturday night wedding, full open bar for 90 guests. All in I'm under 18k. That includes our rings, our attire, and our 8 day honeymoon in Belize (getting married in south Jersey).- I would tell your wedding planner that your budget is 25k. Not 40k. If she keeps insisting you stay at 40k, I would find another wedding planner because at that point, it sounds like she's not looking out for your best interest. I would however save the 40k just in case. - If you intend on getting married in 2023, I'd wait until next year to start touring venues and putting deposits down. You don't need to pay your vendors in full so early. Just follow your vendors payment plans.

Have you researched average wedding costs in your area? Weddings of that size may generally run 40k. Either way, your wedding planner should help make your dream come true, while sticking to a realistic, agreed upon budget. If you two aren’t on the same page for budgeting, I would recommending solving that problem ASAP. It’ll cause a lot of problems down the road. I also highly recommend that you make a decision on your wedding size, this will determine expenses and there’s a big difference between 85-150.

Since you aren’t getting married until 2023, why not spend this year/next enjoying your engagement with your hunny! With COVID19, there are so many unknowns in the wedding industry right now and I wouldn’t recommend that you begin planning and worrying about COVID impacts if you don’t have to. Just sit back, enjoy, and save ideas & money!

If you want to change your budget to $25K, your planner should respect you. If not, perhaps find a new planner.
