I don't sleep with any jewelry on, ever.

I also tend to take my rings off to wash my hands (except when coming in from outside, thanks COVID), dishes, and exercise.

I take it off even when cleaning!

I think it really depends on the stone, the setting and your lifestyle to a degree.
I have a 2.6 carat claw set pear which definitely would catch so I don’t wear it to bed. If it were a bezel setting it would be easier, but I still wouldn’t.
With non-traditional stones such as gemstones like emerald or ruby you definitely wouldn’t want to wear them to bed or when doing anything with your hands since they’re softer.

The woman that appraised my ring said I should only wear it for things I would do in a silk dress. Since I can't imagine doing much in a silk dress I would often take it off pre-covid. Now with all the frequent hand washing and hand sanitizer I wear it even less, but at least now I have a silicone band to wear that I never take off.

I wear mine all the time. I also sleep with it. I only take it off to go to the beach or do my hair to avoid products getting on it. I use gloves when I’m cleaning so I don’t take it off then either. I feel like the less I take it off, less chances of losing it.

When I first got engaged I used to take it off to sleep, wash my hands, clean, cook, EVERYTHING. Now the only time I take my engagement ring off is when I am cleaning with stronger products. Other than that I always have it on now, sometimes I forget it's even there!

I take mine off when I get home for the day and put it on again before leaving again. If I have it on and I need to cook/do dishes I leave it on a ring dish. I take BOTH my rings off for swimming, etc., because I don't want to lose my band in the pool. FWIW my mom *never* took off her rings (either of them) - until months after we lost my dad. They were married nearly 40 years and her rings were still in great shape.

I never slept with it on but i wear my actual engagement ring a lot less now that I have a silicone one. I got a grove ring because I work at a daycare and was constantly having to take my ring off to wash my hands and when wearing gloves to change diapers. My silicone one I leave on when I sleep because I forget it’s on sometimes

I stop sleeping with nine. It kept getting caught ti my sheets. So l learned my lesson

I almost never wear my engagement ring anymore, me and my fiancé wear silicone bands most of the time. We only bring out our rings when we're going on a date or getting dressed up.

I do not sleep in my ring. It’s a princess cut with a high setting, so it would scratch me! Also take it off to shower, clean, do yard work, fix my hair, etc. but am very careful where I put it!

I never take mine off (the only exception would be to lift weights which rarely happens). I also have a necklace and another ring that I never take off. As long as things are sized properly and polished from time to time, I haven't had any issues.

I only take mine off to shower and clean. Otherwise I would be worried about losing it.

I only wear my engagement ring when I’m going somewhere. I rarely wear it at home because it’s bulky and I don’t want to damaged it by doing chores or whatnot.

I take mine of for most things; sleeping, cleaning, cooking, pretty much anything that could potentially make me lose or misplace it

I’ve bought $1 jewelry dishes to keep around the house since I find myself taking off the ring more than I expected to. Since I know where the dishes are, I won’t lose the ring! 😋 Places are nightstand, main bathroom & kitchen sink, and laundry room
