Rise Against Song For Daddy Daughter Dance?

Kelli, on June 9, 2017 at 1:46 PM Posted in Community Conversations 0 5

So I originally wanted Drive for Daddy's Genes for my Dad's and my dance, but now the more I think about it....my dad and I both LOVE Rise Against and whenever we're in the car together we always blast it and sing along to all the music, but especially their one song Swing Life Away. It's not really a Daddy Daughter dance kind of song, but does that matter. What does everyone else think. Would it be just too weird?

I don't think it'd be too weird. I think "Swing Life Away" would be pretty cool, and even better that it's something meaningful to the two of you.

First off, I LOVE that song... but honestly, I can think of nothing better than dancing to a song that we both love. The fact that you both love it and can belt it out together just makes it that much more special. I say go for it!

My dad and I have the same relationship with Yellow Ledbetter (Pearl Jam). We call each other and yell it over the phone like we used to do in the car together so guess what - it's weird but it's our song.

Love that song and rise against is one of my favorite bands too!! And if that's both of your favorite band then it's the perfect fatherr daughter song. The song itself and the band have all the meaning you need.
