Romance

Hmmm well there's been a lot of random times he would make things like a scrapbook of photos of us. Before our wedding he handed me this photo book he made and it was so sweet, he wrote at the last page that he can't wait for our happily ever after and adventures to come

Honestly? The most romantic things he's ever done for me were sticking by me and supporting me 1000% when each of my parents passed away. My four siblings didn't come anywhere close.... He made a 1000 trips schlepping stuff when we had to move my mom out of her family home and into assisted living. He sat with me in the emergency room when when my mom had a stroke. He spoke for the both of us at my beloved dad's memorial service when I couldn't possibly have kept it together. He stayed in the hospital with me every night for a week when I had a massive surgery. He's been my "steady Eddie" through the absolute worst moments of my life for the last 34 years, and has loved the people I love like they are his own family. In my book, nothing makes him sexier.

My FH is in the National Guard (1 weekend a month, and 2 weeks a year). The first year he had AT (2 week training), I was preparing how to sleep without him. My birthday was right before he left, so he order me a huge body pillow and slept next to it so it would smell like him while he was gone. ❤

Does making dinner several times a week count?

There's a few - he once got us tickets to the Westminster Dog Show's Meet-the-Breeds event (I LOVE dogs, he is more of a cat person), and it was Valentine's Day, and he basically spent Valentine's Day following me around as I pet all the dogs. (And there was a major game for his favorite Italian soccer team that day, too, and I had a show. He made the entire Valentine's Day about what I loved.)

He worked out a whole romantic proposal at a New Year's Eve party (though he drove me nuts beforehand, because he's not particularly good at hiding things from me).

Mostly his idea of romance is based off of taking care of me on a daily basis. (He's a very good nurse when I'm sick, too.)
