I will be DIY’ing my purple fall wedding decorations + centerpieces! I am wanting LOTS of extravagant floral arrangements. What is everyone doing for their wedding arches? Table settings?Stationary, aisle decor, and more? Let me know what I’m missing!!

Ooo yeah, my girls set up a lunch about a month or two after I asked them to be bridesmaids so that they could get to know each other. I had one bridesmaid who lives in D.C. so I sent her proposal box to her and the rest I gave when I had one-on-one dinners with them. Definitely recommend getting them together though if they don’t all know each other. It’ll be nice once bachelorette and planning rolls around!

For my proposal box to my girls, I did a mini bottle of Moët, a voluspa candle, ouai rose hair and body oil, a “Will You Be My Bridesmaid!” neclklace from Dogeared, sugarfina candy and lip balm. I got a cute box to put them in from Michael’s! I made my MOH’s a little different by getting her a nicer Jo Malone candle and my little sister got Martinelli’s sparkling cider and lip glosses instead instead of a candle.

On the weekend of the wedding, my mom gifted my entire party cute animal print shorts-PJs with slippers. I gave each of my girls a piece of jewelry (they didn’t have to wear for the wedding, it was just something I picked out individually based on each girl’s style).

Awww my momma is Filipino too! Yeah, I’m sure you’ll have no problem getting Filipinos on the dance floor! Our DJ played all the old school disco throwbacks in the beginning to help get the older crowd on the floor since younger guests will dance regardless of the music because they’re probably already 4 drinks in. Haha then slowly transition it to the younger stuff and by then the older crowd is having fun and will dance to anything. It actually worked for our crowd!

Omgosh, if you wanna learn to salsa— definitely do it! I totally suggest just taking a dance class for fun. If you’re fiancé isn’t used to dancing, it’ll help him learn some basic steps and moves as well as get him comfortable on the dance floor.

Greece I heard is beautiful! My brother went with his fiancée during their Europe trip, and they raved about it! Ahhh! Iceland! I’ve been wanting to go!! 😍

Ooooh, you definitely have to do Hawaii one day! My family goes every year so it’s one of my favorite places in the world! I took my husband there for the first time together for his 30th birthday and it was so much showing him around. I never get tired of Hawaii.

Yeah, we actually had most of our trip itinerary for both Asia and Australia/New Zealand so at least we won’t have to do too much planning for that. Haha yeah, NZ is where lord of the rings was filmed. You can even stay in a hobbit hole!!! Haha

You definitely have to tell me if you with Maldives. I wanna hear all the tips and good deets!! 🥰

So for vegas— that’s where I actually went for my bachelorette too! We wanted to relive being 21 again hahaha

My MOH and girls seriously went above and beyond. My maid of honor paid for our 2 rooms at the Venetian (they’re pretty large and can fit 4 girls comfortably. 6 people if you use the couches). We all flew in Thursday and when I got there, the room was so cutely decorated and everything was perfect! It’s on my instagram highlights under “👰🏻” or “Wedding Madness.

We pre-gamed in the room on Thursday night once most of the girls got in. We had a laidback dinner at El Dorado Cantina. Super reasonably-priced.

On Friday, my husband treated us all to brunch at Hexx. It was soooo yummy! For like 10 people it was like $700 with taxand tip. We hung out at the pool afterwards. Then at night, we went got dressed in 90s-themed outfits and went to dinner at Searsucker in Caesars Palace. Then we saw Absinthe. If you’re ok with dirty, raunchy humor— go see it! It’s my favorite show in Vegas and I wanted everyone to experience it. All the girls LOVED IT. It’s hilarious. They got a package deal where a 3 course dinner at Searsucker and ticket to Absinthe was like $300 per person.

Then on Saturday, my girls got us a cabana at Encore Beach Club where the Chainsmokers were the resident DJ for the summer. So. Much. Fun.

Don’t do vegas clubs without a table. Most places will comp tables for girls if you get a hold of a promoter. Encore Beach Club wasn’t really comp-ing tables for the Saturdays during summer so the minimums were a bit high and we had to pay for our cabana. My girls paid for my portion, but I think our cabana was like a little over $6k (There was like 8 of us and I think each of the girls paid $600 and my MOH covered the rest) when all was said and done. We did get a free table at XS for that night though which was great!

I love XS. Love Marquee. They have a Bavette’s steakhouse there. I know there’s one in Chicago too. I love it there because there’s no corkage fee if you bring your own wine as long as you share a glass of wine with one of your neighbor tables! There’s a TAO there as well. Pretty yummy.

If you want fun, nice hotel— aria or cosmo are some of my favorites! My husband and I like staying at aria. The have a great restaurant called Sage there. Javier’s is good. There’s one in Orange County. It’s like an upscale Mexican restaurant. Tacos el Gordo is a must. Cheap, good tacos!

When are you planning on going?

Yeah, they haven’t all met each other!! I’ll for sure plan a get-together for all of them. That’s so cute! And I love Michael’s! Oh that all sounds so nice!!! I completely disregarded that I should totally do something unique for my MOH! I was thinking the robes, some roses, I’ve seen where people do like monogram hand bags/totes, balloons, and the Moët sounds spot on!!!! Omg candles and stuff for hair + body would be good too!!! Everyone will want to feel fresh and glowing for the big day!

And omg yay!!! A fellow Filipino!!! Haha yeah my dad is Caucasian and my mom is Filipino, they met in Okinawa, Japan when my dad was in the Air Force!! Haha yeah my mom’s side of the family is definitely the party side 😂
I’ll have to think of some good throwbacks to include on the playlist, or hope that our DJ can find something for my dad’s family? They are seriously total opposites like my dads side is all from the South and they are very country! I however and my fiancé aren’t really into country music buuuttt I’m also the type that can get down to anything once I’ve had some drinks too!!

And yes, we’ll totally have to do Hawaii!!! I have always wanted to go ❤️❤️ I know it would be paradise! I had thought too because my fiancé wants to get a tattoo on his ring finger as well as a wedding ring, if we went I think we should get ring finger tattoos together there!!! Granted, finger tattoos fade quickly & we wouldn’t get free touch ups anywhere lol but it would be a cute experience we’d never forget!
The Venetian Resort is soooo beautiful I seriously would LOVE that omg. I’m 23 and pretty much all of my bridesmaids will be 21+ by next year, I have one bridesmaid who is 19 right now and she won’t be 21 until September of next year so we were thinking of maybe going around Halloween? I was curious about how the weather is out west and how that could turn out. If it didn’t seem like a good time to go, I was thinking maybe my sisters and I could just go to Vegas in the summer and then I could take my bridesmaids to Nashville or something around Halloween when my one girl will be 21. Hoping we can figure something out!!!!

And yeah if we go to the Maldives I will spill ALL the tea on it!!!!! 👏🙌
    Haha
Thank you so much for all of the travel details, I will definitely have to look into it! Ahhh the Caesars Palace! That sounds so amazing ❤️❤️❤️ I really want to make going there work out, I definitely am looking for somewhere relaxing but with a lot of fun things to do around us! And that is good to know, I wouldn’t have thought to plan ahead for a table or anything 😅 But yeah I’m trying to think of when really is the best time to go, it literally snowed on Halloween here but I have no idea what the weather is like all the way in Nevada, I’m wondering if we should try to go immediately after my friend turns 21? Just not really sure

My mom and I have been making all my bouquets, centerpieces, EVERYTHING for just a few hundred bucks by wiring and arranging wood flowers (dyed a variety of colors to match my theme) mixed with a few fake flowers and dried greens/flowers. Honestly they are so impressive, looks like I spent thousands! Also my dad is actually building, engraving, and staining our arch, I'm so thankful!! Smiley heart

Have you ever heard of the island Curacao? I went a couple years back and it is the most AMAZING weather, not too humid at all, beautiful beaches, and so many affordable private vistas with their own beaches. The culture is amazing, so much to do! It was my favorite place I've ever been and for sure an amazing honeymoon destination!

DIY is a way to save money. Who are you going to put in charge of setting up all your DIY decorations? Do you have a wedding planner? I wanted to DIY but I dont want to be responsible for set-up.

So after talking to the coordinator at the venue about DIY, she just said that I would have to make sure all of the centerpieces and decor arrived early so that her team could handle it and the setup of it as well.
