So. I'm in the process of doing room blocks, and I find the entire process pretty stressful. I'm using Jetaport, which is a wonderful service, but the idea of picking everyone's hotel for them seems.. odd. And not all hotels offer the courtesy room block, which means we could be on the hook for payment if a certain number of rooms aren't booked.

I'm wondering... how terrible would it be if we just..didn't.. do a room block, and instead listed a couple of hotels as a recommendation. I know everyone will want to be in the same area for after-party possibilities, so I understand communicating where everyone will be, but this process is kind of stressful, and I don't feel like it's something I can delegate. Part of me feels like we're obligated to do this, so I should just suck it up - but another part of me is like "they're all adults, they can book their own hotel rooms!"

AGH. So torn. Any advice is appreciated!
