Roping off center aisle

Miss S., on July 20, 2014 at 3:55 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 12

For those that are roping off the center aisle to prevent anybody walking down the aisle while guests are being seated, what are you using? I have some 1.5 inch wide ribbon left but not sure if that is enough. Otherwise thought about going to the store and just getting some material…. IDK.

What is everyone doing, if you are doing it? Inspiration pictures would be appreciated, too Smiley winking

The churches we are considering have 3 entries into the sanctuary. The side doors will be open for our guests to enter. The center door will be closed and will have a bow tied on the handles. Our ushers will have a table directly in front of the door and will direct our guests to either of the other 2 doors. We want our guests to mingle with one another during the ceremony, so we will have a sign in the foyer asking our guests to pick a seat, not a side.

We roped ours off with ribbon and foliage bundles. You can sort of see it here:

My fiance and I are doing a cute little burlap and lace rope and in the middle there is a sign that says "Where Forever Begins"

We used our leftover chair sashes. We ordered 200 but only ended up needing around 170 for the chairs. We lined the aisle with them too.
