Rose Gold Glitter

Jade, on March 30, 2015 at 4:35 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 15

Does anyone know where I can find either Rose Gold (Glitter) Spray Paint or Rose Gold Glitter?

When I went to Michael's they only had silver & gold glitter spray paint or like metallic paint.

I've still been searching but cant find anything

I'm going to be spray painting my table numbers as well as making my own special hangers for my girls and would like them to be Rose Gold as i have hints of it in all me decor but Im not having any luck

I might not be much help, but have you searched for copper? The colors are similar, I've heard that rose gold is actually made with a bit of copper (I don't know for sure, but I think that's what I've heard). I'm sure you could find something on Amazon.

Here's ultra fine glitter. Remember, the finer the glitter, the better the result.

Hmmm, yeah I just checked too. Well this is what I did with my "will you be my bridesmaid cards." I had some rose gold glitter (I got this at Michael's a while again), and mixed it with modpodge, but I'm sure any type of glue like that would work.

You might need lots more glitter, but that's what I would suggest if you can't find a spray paint.

edited: Woops, you were looking for rose gold glitter. Overlooked that. I did find mine at Michael's though, so that's strange you couldn't find any.

I just found this acrylic glitter paint called rose copper by martha stewart. i am surprised at how difficult it is to find a spray paint of it. maybe you can get a fine pink glitter spray paint and a fine gold glitter pray paint and layer it?

Do you have Hobby Lobby by you? I know they had a ton of different kinds of glitter when I was looking. Smiley smile

@Surfergirl thats exactly what I was saying, its pretty nuts to me that they dont have spray paint, but I think thats actually a great Idea.

I already have the acrylic paint but maybe I'll buy the glitter Centerpieces found and layer them as suggested!

    Thanks!

Did you think about mixing your own glitter? That's what I always do, and what I am doing for my wedding- I wanted rose gold glitter, but wanted to actually cover the glass in glitter with mod podge, rather than using glitter paint (this makes it more glittery)... So I'm using the Recollections glitter line from Michaels (most likely, unless I find a better deal elsewhere), and mixing my own blend of Champagne, Gold, and Blush.. If using a different line, I think you can replace gold with copper to get a more rose gold effect, but I've used the aforementioned mix before and it looks gorgeous. My wedding colors are a blend of blush, champagne, nude, and rose gold, so I don't mind it being more towards Blush than Rose. I'm actually making multi-heighted hurricane candleholders using the old dollar-tree glassware & epoxy method, glittering the stems, and hot gluing gems or glass stones to the actual candleholder part (top), in all the colors mentioned before.. Actually doing that for the tallest one, using the globe-shaped candleholder. The shorter two I'm using the tall hurricane vases, and am painting the top portions in marbled shades of those colors. I'll post pics on how they turn out!
