Rose Petal drop

Has anyone ever done a rose petal drop? I want to do one when we kiss and I'm trying to decide how many flower petals (approximately) I need for it. If anybody has any idea I'd appreciate it! Thanks!

I would definitely check with your venue before doing much planning with this! Many have restricted throwing things to decrease clean up. Also the drop sounds like a lot of logistics. What about giving trusted family in the first few rows some petals to throw up into the air towards you as you kiss or as you begin to go down the aisle?
