Be aware that if you are outdoors, most venues require real petals which are biodegradable.


Check with local florists. Many offer bags of petals from day old bruised roses they can’t sell that are otherwise just fine. Otherwise go to fiftyflowers.com or globalrose.com . Contrary to popular belief, you have to grind the petals for them to color transfer. Simply walking over them will not cause anything to stain.

We went with Ling’s Moments, as we have to use artificial flowers in our venue.

I am doing real only because we are getting married outside and I for one do not feel like picking them up lol. I will go to Walmart and buy a few rose bouquets and while my hair is being done I will tear the petals off and put in the flower girls baskets

My florist is providing the flower girl petals, which she said for the size of aisle and age of the flower girl around 50-100 petals is enough (she's worked with our venue before). I want to do petals along the aisle so I'm buying them in bulk from costco. Their website is giving an error or I'd look up the price again.
