Rose petals: too much or not enough?

Brenda, on January 30, 2012 at 4:39 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 6

So, I decided that I want to decorate the tables with a mixture of Purple table cloths, 3 votive frosted glass candles, and flower petals. Now, riddle me this if you would: If I wanted to decorate 10, 3'x6' tables with petals AND put petals on the runner for walking down the aisle... how many petals should I have? Is 1000 petals too few or would 2000 be better? Any thoughts? (runner would be decorated like in the picture)

I have a petal calculator on my profile..... you should check it out sometime.

~ How many do you need for the Aisle and/or Tables ~

All depends on how long the aisle is and how you want the petals.

For my friends wedding, I got the 1000 petals from ebay for $4 and she had 100 guests, indoor ceremony in a small room. So, 10 rows maybe? And 1000 petals for that length looked about like your picture (if you want that many)

I was also meaning to ask, are there any pros or cons to having freeze dried petals over fresh petals?

Ahh that picture is just the inspiration I was looking for. I bought an aisle runner at AC Moore this weekend and planned on DIY flowers along the sides... I was thinking kissing balls would be too much but that looks awesome!

Yeah, ive been debaiting the kissing balls as well. Especially since ive found them for relatively cheap and they say something more to me then just a nice little bow (although bows look nice as well, they just arent my style lol).

I'm getting 2,000 petals for my aisle (just like in your picture) and 16 round tables that seat 6 people. Depends on how heavy you want the coverage.
