Round mirror centerpiece n a 60 inch round table—-help!

Kayla, on January 4, 2018 at 11:32 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 8
If the table seats 8, how big of a mirror centerpiece can I use without the table looking cluttered? Is 18” too much? TIA!

We are using round mirrors on our round tables that seat 8 as well. I believe ours are 20in rounds and they look perfect

We did 12inch mirrors, on tables that sat 8, 10, and 12.

The smallest depth of a place setting is 16" but your guests will be more comfortable if you add 5" across the table. That makes 16+16+5= 35 inches taken up by the place settings, leaving 25 ". in the center of the table. You need to leave space for salt and pepper, baskets of bread or rolls, butter dishes etc, so I would say 20" at the absolute maximum.

One other factor is the number of people you seat at the table. The more people at the table, the less room is left between the cutlery for any service items.

Where did you buy your 20in ones? I’m having a hard time finding anything over 12 inches!

    I found 18” on eBay. Seller is partyspin and they’re $12.25 each! That’s the cheapest I’ve found them...I couldn’t find 20” anywhere.

I am having the same debate right now... I am thinking I'd like to do 20"... but having trouble finding anything other than 18inch. Have you already had the wedding? How did 18 inch work out and do you think 20 inch is too large for 60inch table seating 10? The photos with 12 inch actually look very nice too.

I haven’t had the wedding yet but my 18” mirrors just came in and I think I would’ve liked 20” better. Granted I haven’t laid it on a 60” round table with all of the plates/glasses/silverware but the mirror on its own doesn’t look as big as I imagined. I ordered them from partyspin.com - I found them in packs of 6 for $50.95 (not including shipping).
