Round tables for both ceremony and reception

on January 6, 2019 at 11:47 PM Posted in Wedding Ceremony 0 4
We are getting married at a Conference center. That is the location for both the ceremony and reception. It will be set up with 5 foot round tables with 6 guest per table. We are having approximately 20-22 tables. The area we will be getting married is in front of a fireplace that won't have a real fire. That is also the dance floor. We are planning on setting the tables up avoiding the actual dance floor. We wont be moving any tables. Where people sit for wedding is also where they will eat. During cocktail hour our caterer would set up silverware and water. We are having a plated dinner. Does this sound ok? I'm just worried for visualizing the ceremony. I'm including screenshots of the venue.

I think most people get married at a different location then just have reception at the Conference Center. Any suggestions, ideas, or recommendations welcomed.

I've been to a couple of weddings that were set up like this and everything was fine and ran smoothly. We are also setting up our wedding like this. We'll have the tables set up in a way where there is an aisle in the middle and enough room up front for a little bit of dancing (not expecting a lot of dancing).

We have an outdoor location but if it’s too cold we’ll have to do this and walk through the tables to a fireplace. I think it’s fine.

Hey there!!! I have seen weddings like this and I think it's totally fine! Doing it this way is a great option for maximizing your space. Depending on the amount of space in the room another option would be to set up the chairs in the middle with the traditional aisle look and have the tables on the sides. Once the ceremony is over the chairs can be pushed under each table! Here's an example:
