rsvp - cards vs email, etc.

Natalie, on July 5, 2019 at 10:27 AM Posted in Planning 0 32
This might be an odd question, but what RSVP options did you list for your guests on your wedding invites?

Did you do:
- Traditional RSVP cards w pre addressed envelopes
- listed one or both of your email addresses/ phone numbers
- something else

We added a line on the invitations for them to RSVP at our Zola website.

We are just doing RSVP cards since we used all in one invites, but I think having an online option via your wedding website is a great as well. I can see lots of potential issues with email RSVPS.

We did only traditional RSVPs. Our invites were all-in-one, so the RSVP just tears off to send in as a postcard. For as much as we spent on postage for people to send them back I didn't want to give them a stamp for no reason. And I didn't want to not give them a stamp if they wanted to RSVP the traditional way.

I haven't really set up our website yet, I like the idea of having guests RSVP that way. Are most websites set up to where they are given the option of saying how many are attending? Kids vs adults?

I had originally made a wedding wire website and ended up HATING it. There were constant issues with things not loading, not working on certain devices etc. I switched to Zola and everything has been great so far. RSVP's are starting to come in and I'm really happy I switched.

The WW website you have to input your guests and they RSVP. They can add a message but they can’t add a plus one without you giving them one.

The invitations I ordered have an RSVP postcard with our address attached and easy to tear off. So all our guests have to do is fill it out and mail it out (I think they do need to get a stamp).

I'm trying to update my site now and realized for days that things haven't been loading either. I think I'm going to switch over too

I wanted to keep ours for a scrapbook, plus FH and myself are big goofballs and we both thought this would be fun. I found the idea on pinterest and then edited it to tailor us, then added the flowers and had a shop on Etsy print them. I think they're so much fun. Lots of people had made negative comments on WW regarding probably no one will send them back, but were not having a huge wedding and most of our guests have a great sense of humor and I think will send them back. Well see in a few weeks I guess!

It was so bad that we switched after the save the dates were already sent out with the old wedding website haha.. we just updated it before the invitations went out with the new URL. I've been happy with Zola and I hear good things about the knot too.

Every time I'd reach out to WW they'd say our development team is working on it.. legit for months and nothing ever got fixed!

We have our wedding site at the Knot, and we're doing all our RSVPs online. It was super easy to set up, and with the exception of maybe one grandmother, (who actually already did RSVP) we were confident that all our guests would be able to handle the online system.

I'm considering sending out preaddressed RSVP cards with info on online RSVPs. That way they have the option of online RSVP or buying a stamp.

We did traditional RSVP cards with addresses and stamped envelopes. We also gave the option of rsvp'ing on our website. Invitations just went out Tues, so we will see which way people RSVP.

We included RSVP cards with pre-addressed, pre-stamped envelopes, plus we gave our guests the option to RSVP on our wedding website on The Knot. I would say we've received slightly more mailed responses than online so far.

We did RSVP cards with self-addressed stamped envelopes, but also gave an option to RSVP online.
