Our deadline is June 30th to RSVP. However, I am going to send a reminder text message to inform everyone that the deadline is approaching. We have a lot of people flying in from out of town and I do not want to wait until after the deadline to remind them as flights are expensive right now. I’ve...
Our deadline is June 30th to RSVP. However, I am going to send a reminder text message to inform everyone that the deadline is approaching. We have a lot of people flying in from out of town and I do not want to wait until after the deadline to remind them as flights are expensive right now. I’ve found a nice message to send them however, I am trying to find the best way to tell them ‘if you do not RSVP you will not have a seat’. We are only accommodating 100 guest, our venue doesn’t need a final headcount because regardless we’re paying for 100 even if only 75 show. Is saying, if you do not RSVP you will not have a seat too direct? Or please RSVP to ensure your seat? I really need them to understand if we don’t receive their RSVP they will not be accounted for.

    Lol lol right and yes we are but I took off somethings like the bling so instead putting yellow flowers and we are able to get butter cream and not fondant and also doing there display shaved off money too.So I'm very pleased

    Oh that’s good!!! We finally have our cake tasting the end of this month. I’m looking forward to it. They said we’ll get to taste 10 different types. I didn’t even know it was that many.

    Oh wow that great mmmmm all those different kinds I wish that we had that options. But here they wanted $75 for that but imani they were right i went too my local supermarket and they do wedding cakes so it will be vanilla cake

    I’m pretty sure if our venue didn’t come either the cake we would have went wit the supermarket as well. They cakes be so good!

    Hi Imani. My Rsvp deadline is June 16th and I have 50% responses at this point. It looks like I’ll be chasing a bunch of people too. It shouldn’t be so hard to write your name, check a box and put in mailbox.

    You want to know what’s crazy, Shannon? They don’t even have to mail it! It’s all online on our wedding website. They don’t even have to pay for postage. Will you be sending out a follow up email after the 16th?

    That is crazy lazy. Mine were mailed and there are stamps on the rsvp so they don’t have to pay.
    Just put in mailbox. I’ll be sending texts on the 17th. We have to pay for 60 people either way. I’ve estimated about 50 attendees. It’s Getting close!

    I did make a mistake & forgot to RSVp to a wedding last year. Our family was invited (3 adult kids) and I was trying to confirm with them for an accurate count. The wedding was July 4th weekend. The groom called the evening before deadline…part of the problem was that it was online only and I had never done one like that before (not a problem to rsvp online, will be on top of it in the future) The groom was super sweet & we totally felt welcomed to the wedding…it literally was just a slip up. So just remember that people may want to come & have just slipped up…no reason to say there won’t be a seat for them. Hope that sheds some light!

    Thanks a lot Cathy! It does help, because I don’t want to come off rude when I send out the text. I just want them to know hey, in case you forgot please go ahead and RSVP. I was also considering including the food option in the text. This way they understand ‘hey, we see you didn’t RSVP, please go ahead and do so & choose your food option to ensure we include you in the final count’ or something along those lines.

    Perfect!!!Also, I am always very on top of RSVP’ing and I was so embarrassed that the deadline was upon us & I didn’t realize it! Daughter’s invites are in the mail & it will be interesting to see how many rsvp. She decided she did not want to use online & so we went with a tear off rsvp postcard. It is actually attached to the invite. They will have to detach & put it in the mail…we’ll see how it goes! Best of luck to you!!

    Let s see if you wanted to send something before the rsvp date I d do something like this :

    Our wedding on _______ is quickly approaching, and we are so excited to celebrate with our friends and family!

    This is just a friendly reminder that RSVPs are due one week from today, on _________. If you haven’t already, please let us know if you will be attending!

    You can RSVP online on our website, via email, or by giving us a call. We can’t wait to see you all there!

    If its beyond the deadline I'd send something like this :

    Hi Imani We just wanted to make sure that you received the invitation to our wedding on _______. Our vendors need a final headcount, so please let me know if you can make it! We are so excited celebrate with our loved ones and hope to see you there!
