rsvp for Plus Ones

Natasha, on May 22, 2020 at 5:12 PM Posted in Account Support 0 13
When it comes to RSVP-ing, I do not plan to include inside envelopes for invited guests to send back to me. I want them to RSVP on our website.
Is there a way to change the wording from “leave a message for the couple” to “indicate name of guest” for invited guests who are allotted a plus one?
Thank you!

From my understanding if you have the guests and their plus ones in the guest list, when they go to rsvp it will give them the option to put in a note or correct their guests name.

We are doing the same thing so fingers crossed 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼

What website are you using? On ours we are just having our guests enter the names of everyone invited in their household so each person doesn't have to RSVP on the site.

I'm sending RSVP postcards with seats in your honor, plus an enclosure card directing them to the website if they'd rather do it that way. We're hoping that by offering two different ways of doing it that there will be less of a hassle in getting responses. We aren't offering plus ones to people who don't have a relationship (limited funds and a venue limit of a 100 ppl)!

Hi! How did you enter them into weddingwire? I entered the invited guest and made a separate entry for the plus one, but obviously that's not going to work. lol

I was thinking about writing "number of seats reserved in your honor" on the RSVP card too!

So what I did when I made the original person, I clicked on the link where it said to as guest or related person. Then I made the guest’s first name original person and the last name was guest. It’s not perfect but it works. I tested out the rsvp feature the other day and when the original person goes to rsvp, their related person/people appear for confirmation as well.

For example, John Smith and John S. Guest.

I assume you’re having a details card along with your invitation that says “please rsvp on our website” and gives the link? If so, I’d also add “please leave the name of your plus one in the comments section” on that card, for the people who have plus ones of course.

And some people still won’t, so you’ll end up having to reach out to them lol. That’s just how it is.

For me, I used wix.com. The template I used had an RSVP form where they would just indicate they're bringing a plus one by checking off the box next to that statement. We have them on the list with "guest" and we will fill it in once we get confirmations back. In the message, they can then identify by name who they will be bringing.

Hi Natasha! There is currently not an option to change the messaging text. however, you are able to add a note to the text box on your RSVP page to indicate what information you would like guests to leave. Don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team at help@weddingwire.com if you have any additional questions!
