rsvp Help!!!

Jillian, on January 20, 2023 at 7:32 PM Posted in Account Support 0 1

Hi All!

My fiance and I are about to send out our invitations. We are doing online RSVPs and they are going to our Wedding Wire account. I just noticed today (after stuffing, sealing an stamping ALL the invitations), that you can't RSVP with a guest. We have given some of our guests +1s. How are we going to know if they are, in fact, bringing someone and what their name is?!?!?! Did I make a HUGE mistake???

Hi Jill! On WeddingWire guests are not allowed to add their own plus ones while RSVPing - you'll need to add it for them! You can add a linked guest to the primary guest so that way they will see the option to reply for 2 people when RSVPing. There is a comment box in the guest RSVP where they can include their guests' name!

You can do this in your Guest List:

    - Click the name of the guest you wish to add a plus one for

    - Under ‘Additional guests’, click ‘ Add related guests or a plus one’

    - Enter ‘Plus One’ as the first name

    - Click ‘Add Plus One’

    - Select whether the plus one is an adult, child, or baby

    - Click ‘Save additional guest’

On the RSVP page of your wedding website, we recommend that you add a note requesting that those bringing a plus one enter their name in the note section of the RSVP form. This way you are easily able to go back and edit the guest's name in your guest list!

How to Indicate a 'Plus One' on your Guest List

I also recommend adding plus ones in this format "John Doe" and "Guest Doe" - that way when your guest searches for "Doe" they'll see themselves (John) and their guest!
