rsvp is duplicating for each guest

Jennifer, on May 19, 2019 at 8:01 PM Posted in Account Support 0 16
I only have 1 event (wedding) for each guest to respond to, but the RSVP page is creating a 2nd response for each and every guest making it seem like there are 2 events. There are 0 duplicates in the guest list itself. This is going to confuse my guests. Can someone help remove the 2nd response option?

They automatically include a ceremony and a reception RSVP. Theres no way to combine them into one that I'm aware of. Guests can just RSVP to both or let them know they only need to respond to the reception portion.
I assume by you saying theres only one event, it's all in one location? If so, I would think your guests can figure out based on your invites that info.

No, there's literally only 1 event. I deleted reception and the only thing left is wedding.

It's a small group. The ceremony and reception are all at the same space so I only want the RSVPs for "Wedding". Seats will be there to accommodate all guests for both. We expect all guests to come to both (all family).

Most weddings are 1 event. Your guest will know they are invited to both parts of the event. If have guest that just RSVP for reception cause that is where you need a head count for the food. Like I said they will know they are invited to both parts.

Hi Jennifer! Our team just took a look at your RSVP tool and can see that you have two wedding events with the same guest list. If you would like to remove your Reception wedding event, head to your guest list, click into 'Reception' and the click the blue 'Settings' text on the right side of the screen. At the bottom of this second screen, you will see a 'Remove event' button! If you have any trouble with these steps, please reach out to our Support Team at help@weddingwire.com and we would be happy to help!

Yes, I do. As of today. As you can see in my previous replies I provided a singular event screenshot. Up until today, I only had the event "wedding". I found the answer to my issue already, but thanks so much for the response!

The answer was, for anyone in a similar situation, to create your own custom event and put all your guests there. Remove all guests from the "wedding" guest list that you cant delete or change. This will prevent the RSVP tool from forcing you into a separate RSVP for a ceremony and a reception despite only having the mandatory "wedding" event. Only this 1, single, solitary event will force you to have 2 RSVPs per 1 guest.

Support team - please let me k ow if youd like me to recreate the issue because this was very frustrating and I think everyone just keeps assuming I don't know what I'm talking about. Thanks a bunch!! 😁
