rsvp online pros and cons

Ivonne, on August 22, 2018 at 12:11 AM Posted in Planning 0 16
Did anyone do RVPS online? How do you tell the guests how many people are allowed to come? (My family has the tendency to invite other friends or neighbors) Is there an option online that limits how many people they are allowed?

I did mine in the mail and put on them how many where invited. _ of 2 then they filled in the line. I would not do RSVP online because everyone does not do online stuff.

I am using minted as my wedding website and my guest can rsvp there and it also let’s me put in the amount of people per invite so you can’t add more then you’re allowed. I paid $20 for the upgraded version

I have a website on the knot which is how we'll be doing RSVPs. We just entered our guests names and linked them as a household (this is all the people addressed on the invitation). When someone searches their name, they can then RSVP for each member of their household. There is nowhere to add an extra person. I think most websites you can play around with the settings to choose between open RSVPs or named guests only

Online rsvp was a nightmare for us. We included an option to rsvp online with our invitations and the only ones that actually utilized it was the bride and groom 😳. Thankfully we did the mailbacks as well.

We did online RSVPs on Minted with no issues. We were able to put the max number of guests someone could RSVP for.

We had our guests RSVP through WW. We were able to set it so that only the people invited could RSVP and they couldn't add anyone.

    I’m Team Online RSVP.

We did online line only and it’s been a success as far. People can only rsvp for themselves if their name is on the guest list. We used The Knot website.

I am only doing online RSVP. I used theknot and there’s an option to let people add, or only RSVP if their name is listed (they can rsvp for the rest of their party as well IF they are listed)

I used minted they let you put in how many people each person can have and they can’t change or go over that.

We are using WW RSVP too, and so far no issues. Even the older family members get it! You cannot add additional people to the RSVP. It also allows the guest to leave you a note, choose their meal, etc. It also feeds into a seating chart tool which is very helpful.

You don't need the upgraded version to do this, however.

@ivonne the only difference is you can add pictures, pages, and have a custom URL which is why you're paying the $20. It is not needed however for the RSVPs
