rsvp online

Janessa, on March 19, 2019 at 2:03 PM Posted in Account Support 0 11

I want to use the RSVP online option on my weddingwire page, but I dislike that if the guest's name is similar to others it will show all guest. Example: Say my aunt types her name, Carmen Bueno, then all 20 people with her last name pop up. It seems a bit confusing (especially for older guest) and I dont really want the aunts to know who was not invited :/ Is there a way of changing that setting?

Yes! I type one of my aunt's name and it says, "We have found 20 guests matching" then gives a list of all the similar names. I really hope I can change this setting!

Oh yikes! I did not know this was a part of the RSVP feature. Makes me hesitant to use it too!

Right?! I'm hoping someone knows how to turn that setting off, if not I might have to use a different way to RSVP.

I'm probably no help but I couldn't get my weddingwire website to cooperate so I switched to Zola instead. I don't think it does this.

Ok I just tried it and you’re right!! That sucks!! Then I tried it with first name only and only that one person came up... so maybe just do first names and if there’s multiple people with the same name (hopefully different last names) then include their last names???

I'm doing my website RSVP via Zola! I think it's very convenient, easy to use, and the themes/designs are really beautiful!

I’m having issue with this too, especially because I have two sets of guests that are duplicate names because my cousins keep marrying girls that share a name with their sister 🙃 hopefully everyone makes sure their RSVP is actually for their self, I don’t care too much about them knowing who else is invited

Hi Janessa! Our RSVP tool currently does not support exact name searches for guests. I am happy to share feedback to add this with our Development Team. Please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@weddingwire.com if you have any other questions or feedback!

I'm not going to lie. I used the online RSVP feature on the knot and opted to have my wedding website there, I included it on save the dates just so guests can take a peak now and didn't even request RSVPS yet and SIXTY.. 60... out of the 100 invited have already RSVP'd so it's definitely effective lol. The knot's guest list/ online RSVP was way easier to use for me and I don't have that issue there.
