rsvp Options

Hey everyone!

I have been trying to find the best envelopes for our wedding invitations that fit our theme and realized that I also need to include the return envelope for the RSVPs in the price. However, I was wondering if you think it'd be okay to not include an RSVP returning envelope but to instead include in the RSVP card that they can call, text, or visit our wedding website to RSVP. I am inviting about 30 groups of people (about 100-110 people total) or maybe even less so I'm sure it won't be too hard to manage the RSVPs personally. The main reason I'm thinking of doing this is to basically reduce the price of the RSVP envelopes and postage.

Has anyone else opted basically for an "electronic" RSVP? How did it go?

Online RSVPs are very common, now.

We directed people to our website, where they could RSVP. We did not have any physical card. This allowed us to also control the number of people coming (...always fun when people are like, CAN I BRING A DATE to an event that is costing $150/head, because NYC), as well as save postage. Not to mention how many people don't put their names on RSVP cards!

Online RSVPs are very common. I would just refer them to the website though so that you are not juggling RSVPs from multiple places. With 100+ people, that can become a lot, especially since you have a life outside of collecting RSVPs. Like, let's say someone calls you to RSVP while you're at the grocery store. Chances are, you may forget to add that into wherever you are keeping track of things. If envelopes are your issue, you can check out Ann's Bridal Bargains. We used them for our invitations, and all of their sets come with RSVP postcards (cheaper postage and no envelope needed). They're only $1 per invite as well, and they usually have a sale!

We did online RSVPS only and so happy we did so far. People just started receiving their invitations and already have 15 RSVPS (from yesterday). It was also sweet that those RSVPing can leave a message or ask a question. It was so sweet reading how excited and happy everyone is to celebrate with us. I spoke with
My cousin, who just got married on 6/4, and she said she wished she did online RSVPs because so many people didn’t respond, adjusted the number of invites on the card!!!!, or forgot their names. With online invites, you input the people’s names and can even add them to multiple events (ex. Bridal shower, bachelorette party, etc.). Also saves you $$ which is always a plus with wedding planning lol.
