So all these posts about invitation postage, and comments saying "don't forget the response postage!" have me thinking... why? I see soooo many posts from gals saying high numbers of people don't even bother to respond. So why should I blow 44 cents for numerous people to not even bother when I'm...

I see soooo many posts from gals saying high numbers of people don't even bother to respond. So why should I blow 44 cents for numerous people to not even bother when I'm already shelling out for the bloody response cards and pre-printed envelopes? Not to mention the wedding. 20 people don't respond, and I just wasted a book of stamps AND I had to take time to call/email/FB them for a response.

I normally would throw goofy etiquette out the window BUT when I received a RSVP card with no stamp (the bride found out after and apologized--she missed my card); it was a real pain. I didnt have stamps in the house so had to go to the post office. Wasted a TON of time in line to talk to crabby people for 1 freakin stamp. I was very annoyed.

For my STDs (sent only to relatives living out of state and my grandparents-who appreciate that kinda thing), I found the joy of ordering stamps online. There is a $1.00 charge but it makes life so-o much easier and then you can get 5 books with the same wedding design...

I will have stamps with formal RSVP cards cause just like stated above- weddings are the kind of thing where that is both expected and shows what kind of wedding you are having...

PS- Cost of stamps are going up for those of you that didnt hear yet-- get your forever stamps now!!! Smiley smile

Honestly, if you spend a bit of money, on return postage, you will receive more RSVP cards back.

Are your RSVP cards in letter format or postcard format? Postcards are the way to go, if you want to cut costs on RSVP's.

If you have online rsvp, that's fine to do if you want to save..but if you send out paper RSVP cards, I'd def add the stamp..I decided to do rsvp postcards to save a lil..that way each was only about 29 cents..I feel like the lack of rsvp response costs will be minimal..and it's more worthwhile to make cuts elsewhere than an area where it may annoy people..I know for me I never have stamps, don't have a car, so would have to walk to the post office, during business hours of course so it's super inconvenient..it's hard enough for people to drop it in when it even does have a stamp.
