rsvp Process for a Extra Large Family Filled with Large Families...

Isabella, on January 8, 2021 at 4:46 PM Posted in Account Support 0 8

Hi!

As I mentioned in the title, my fiancé and I both have large families. They are all being invited, however, I can not seem to find the right way to have them RSVP. I am trying to avoid having to type in every single child's name within each family... Is there a way I can invite the parents and they can add the number of children they have so it will automatically update my guest count?

Thanks!

Most people use rsvpify.com and have them listed individually within family groups.

You should tell your guests how many and who they can bring, not the other way around. Do you have an unlimited budget? Does your venue have no capacity limits?

I agree with Caytlyn. If you don't tell them exactly who is invited they could invite anyone they want including friends or other people you might not have wanted there. My advice would be just to take the time and do it yourself. If you start early enough you could do a few a day that way you aren't having to do it all at once. I would also enlist in your fiancé's help.

Agree with this. If you aren't firm with the guest list, you will have relatives inviting everyone they know and no place to accommodate them because the venue has reached safe capacity limit. Pandemic restrictions are still in place in most areas.

I have already accounted for every member of every family in my guest count and budget with a venue to fit. Simply trying to find an easier way to have them rsvp than having to manually input every single name into the wedding wire list.

I have a spreadsheet and everyone at the same address is one row, and then a cell with the total amount. For example - a couple will get one invitw, but in a another cell the number will be “2.” So one column will calculate how many invites to order, another will be the headcount fir adults, and next to it the headcount for kids. On the RSVP I will have a section “children’s name and ages” so we can have age appropriate goody bags. My brother has 32 descendants. His family is huge, 6 grown children, their spouses and 20 grandkids.

    Hi Isabella,

It is not possible for guests to make any updates/changes to the guest list. This can only be made by the account holder. I'll pass this on to our Dev Team as feedback!
