rsvp return address

Angelica, on August 21, 2022 at 4:43 AM Posted in Planning 1 10
I didn’t think twice when putt got my future last name of my fiancé on the rsvp. Listed “Future Fersts” and now I am nervous the won’t come back in the mail. I am being crazy or do you think they will make it back to our address? My fiancé his address listed here as do I. Will they get here or should I buy stickers to place over my nicely printed postcards?

The post office just looks at the address. They don't particularly care whose name is there. That's why you can get mail for "current resident" or for people who haven't lived there forever. As long as the actual address is spelled correctly, you should get them back.

Exactly what Hannah said - we get items addressed to our home for *businesses* that are obviously not located here - but the street address is ours, so it comes to us.

Just matters what the address is! We put “Future (last name)” on ours as well. We live in house we rent and we still have our addresses officially at our parents houses nearby lol. And we still get stuff from previous tenants here all the time. You could put Jane doe and it wouldn’t matter!

The post office only looks at the address. It’s great that you included names, even if it’s just your last name. Because so many invites over the last several decades have been sent with just the return address that people have to guess who it’s from, since they may not recognize the address right away and a lot of junk mail currently resembles invitations.

We sent an invite to “Papi Lindo & Mami Linda” with their correct address and it made it just fine! As long as the return address is correct and legible, I would not stress. Enjoy your beautiful envelopes Smiley smile

Should be fine. We used a stamp that only had our first names and that was no issue.

We've lived in an apartment for over a year, and we still get mail from the last few people who've lived there before us. Happened at the last apartments I've lived in too. I think you'll be fine Smiley smile
