rsvp with Guest Names Printed On Cards

Sara, on September 22, 2021 at 4:39 PM Posted in Planning 2 11

Hi,

I am looking all over for RSVP cards where I can print the guests name on them instead of having them write them out. That way there's no confusion about if kids are invited or not. There's also no way they can forget to put their name on them.

So instead of:

M ____________________

It would say:

Mr. John Doe Yes No

Mrs Jane Doe Yes No

Has anyone seen anything like this?
Where can I find a template?
Am I crazy for wanting something like this?

Thanks in advance!

I know on a ton of the websites Ive been looking at for my invites everything is customizable. You could absolutely just delete the text and write your own however you want it on the RSVP card portion

I have only seen this as a DIY on Canva, etc. Take an rsvp template and modify it to fit your needs.

This is an excellent idea that often inexplicably gets bad press. But it also lets you know when they send it back who it’s from as not everyone writes their names.

This idea seams like a lot of extra work that isn't necessary. The envelope addressing of the invitation or inner envelope determines who is invited.

If you are inviting children you can address to
Smith Familyor Mr & Ms Smith & FamilyorMr & Ms SmithJoey & Jane Smith (kids)
I would research addressing formal invitations for your preference.

Agree with this comment! Save yourself the extra work and just address the inner or outer envelope properly. Typically, people will also put the number of guests attending where it says “respectfully decline” or “happily accept” (or whatever you put).

I understand how traditional invitations and RSVPs work. I am not interested in that. But, thanks for your feedback. If you know where I might be able to get individual RSVP cards printed, please let me know. I'm still interested in that option.

Sounds like I need to add that I understand this will be more work and I understand how traditional invitations and RSVPs work. I am not interested in that. I am just looking for services that will offer me to customize each individual RSVP card. Thank you for providing that information.

Are you opposed to online RSVPs? That option will allow for you to list all the specific people without having to print individual physical cards.

Generally that is a DIY venture. You can contact a local independent print shop if they will be able to do the work for you with names imported from a spreadsheet.

I was thinking that online invites might be the way to go. A regular printer would struggle with printing each rsvp card differently. You could do it yourself or use Greenvelope for digital versions that allow you to set the rsvp names and refuse +1s. When you see your acceptances it shows each person as a yes or no. This has worked wonders for my small zoom vow renewal. Another option would be to order blank rsvps and print them yourself on your printer. But a traditional printer won't do this - you'd have to approve each one. It's too time consuming for them.
