rsvp wording

Danielle, on June 18, 2019 at 9:37 AM Posted in Planning 0 6
Hi all! I’m ordering my RSVP cards tonight and I want to know what everyone thinks of the wording. I had to make sure I put something on them about number of guests because our list is really pushing the max amount allowed. I didn’t know if this is better if I should do ___ of ____ attending or something. I may change the M to “Name(s)” as well I think. Also, our wedding is sept 21 and I have August 24 as the rsvp date. Is that a good date or should it be sooner or later?

thanks for any advice!!

I changed "M" to "Names" because I was 100% sure almost none of my fiance's friends would know what it meant. We set our RSVP date 40 days before our wedding, our transportation needed a final count 1 month out. So it really depends on when your vendors need final counts. We did the ___ out of ____ attending and I liked how it worked!

    Hi there Danielle!

I love how clean and simple your RSVP card is!

Good idea to change the M to “Name(s)”.

I personally think either of the lines (We reserved _ seats in your honor” or the ___ of ____ attending) would work to keep the guest number controlled! Which did you decide to go for?

As FutureMrsD advised, the RSVP date is dependent on when you need final counts for your vendors. Do any of your vendors need number by a certain date?

Here is a good explanation (I Didn't know either before I started planning a wedding haha)

"When you sign your name or names on that line, use the "M" as the first letter of your title. For example, you might write "Ms. Diana Barnes and Mr. Steven Brown." A married couple would put "Mr. and Mrs. Casey Harris." ... Just tack on the letter or letters to create the appropriate title, then fill in your names." https://www.theknot.com/content/whats-the-meaning-of-m
