Thanks 😊

You won't know till they start to come in because there is no formula to predict it. Alot of replies will come on on the due date. Some will not reply and you have to track them down in the days following. But you have to wait without sending any reminders.

Since you sent them out so early (the standard is 6-8 weeks with overseas being 8-9 weeks, many people can't guarantee time off that early (alot of employers don't give out schedules before 4 weeks even with requested time off) and many will wait for the last minute and forget. Hence the 6-8 week time frame with replies due at 3 weeks out.

Until the week after the deadline. This is super super early for your invitations to go out, so I would assume you’re going to get some late RSVPs. When is your deadline?

It really depends. We had to postpone our wedding but when we were receiving them for our original date, some were immediate if done online. For those that mailed it back, we started getting them maybe about a month-ish after. I wouldn't be surprised if it due to the post office though since it's been slower than normal with Covid.

I figured it isn’t super early for our invitations because we have postponed from September 2020 to late June 2021. We did the online RSVP to make it easier on our guest.

I mean it's typically 6-8 weeks prior but like you said, you also have out of state guests. I guess giving them more time to put things in order so they can attend makes sense. A lot of my friends and family are from out of state but even with the invites from our original Feb date, no one had an issue getting their affairs in order within the 6-8 week timeframe. Only you would know your crowd though so if it just worked better for you that way, by all means. I would definitely contact closer to the date for those who haven't responded.

Our trickled in a slow stream over time, like 1 or 2 per day over the past month. We are two days away from our due date and still have multiple people we will need to follow-up with. 12 weeks is a long time in advance, you will drive yourself crazy over the next two months waiting for responses. Smiley xd We sent ours 6 weeks ahead of time. but quite a number of people are waiting until the last minute to understand work schedules, child care, kids/sports schedules, etc.

Ours kind of trickled in sporadically. Our deadline for guest RSVPs was Monday (April 5th) and FH and I had to reach out to the remaining 28 people who still hadn't responded yesterday. We sent them texts and most people responded that day. Now we're only waiting for (I think) 3 more responses and have until the 12th to get our numbers to the venue.

We initially got back quite a few from close family and friends. The following weeks they came at a slower pace, with one or two per day. We then got another big wave of them right before the deadline and had a few people we had to contact after the deadline. For some, it was hard to make a decision because of covid, and a few people contacted us to let us know they had changed their minds.

I sent my invites out early as well (about 3 weeks ago). I already have 90 RSVP yes, and 5 no. Most of the guests will be flying in (70%). Save the dates were sent in in November.

I know we will have to run behind to get the remainder— but so far they have been coming in.
