Rsvp’s Are In - The Breakdown

Meghan, on September 13, 2019 at 6:01 PM Posted in Planning 0 12
We invited 110 total. We ended up with 99 yes and 11 declines.
Our RSVP deadline was September 9th. By the end of day on 9/9, we were missing 3 couples RSVP’s (so a count of 6 people). We had all of them in my the next day. Overall we were very pleased with the quick reply’s and surprised how many yes’ we got! The 20% rule definitely did not apply in our situation.

Woohoo! Are most of your guests from where your wedding is? Ours is in Nashville and all of our family is out of state. We’re inviting 220 and based on who we think will definitely say no we are anticipating 150-170. Haha. Quite a lot of no’s. We’ll see how it ends up!

That’s a great turn out! And you didn’t even have to chase down half your guests for an answer xD hopefully everything else goes so well. Most of our guests have to travel about 3,000 miles to get to our wedding (I moved halfway across the country to Colorado) so I’m expecting a lot of no’s. We’re inviting 75ish (haven’t finalized the guest list yet) and I’m expecting about 50 or so to actually go.

It is! But I was honestly hoping for more declines lol. But knowing exactly what to expect now is a lot less stressful!

That's awesome! Congrats. I have a feeling ours will be about the same but some of my people are so unpredictable, I won't hold my breath! Glad to hear you got (mostly) what you wanted. Have a wonderful wedding!!

Wow, that is a great response rate.

While we can afford to have all our guests attend, we are hoping for a significant amount of declines.

So far we have 60 attending, 13 declines, and 108 up in the air. Our deadline isn't until October 4th though.

We could afford everyone to attend, I was just hoping for a smaller amount also. A 75-85 guest wedding was ideal for me. I guess I should take it as a compliment? Lol. It will be a great night though.

A lot of our RSVP’s came in 1-2 weeks before our deadline, so yours will probably start rolling in heavy in the next few weeks. Good luck with everything!

Thanks! Now that you have your final numbers you can start making the seating chart if you are having one.

I'm hoping that some are waiting until the last minute to decline.

My ideal number is 100-115, but I thinking we will be closer to 140 or 150. It being a Friday doesn't seem to deter people!

We actually just finished our seating chart (we are only doing table assignments) today! I had started working on it already, so I had a little bit of a head start. So that’s a big weight off my shoulders as well.

I think Friday weddings usually have a pretty good turn out. I think it’s only Sunday & mid-week weddings that people tend to skip.
