Rsvps!!!!

Erika, on April 14, 2021 at 3:03 PM Posted in Planning 0 26
I would like to have guests RSVP via our WeddingWire website to save on money. Is it tacky to put the website on the back of the invite saying to RSVP via there? Or should I just do a standard RSVP card with the website and just save money on postage?

OR, should I just do a normal RSVP with a stamp they mail back to me and just not worry about the money when it comes to this?
What is your opinion??

Personally I like the old fashion way, that way I could keep track with rsvp coming In and I found this be a little fun especially if you have informed delivery on with Usps you can see when you have an rsvp coming. And this would be easier for the older folks that are not computer savvy. I say spend the extra money with postage.

We saved a lot of money by doing RSVPs online. Here's a picture of the cards we used as part of the invitations!

Most guests we have are younger and tech-savvy. For the few we were concerned about, I added a note to their invite telling them they can call me if they're more comfortable RSVPing that way. It's been way easier for me and for most of our guests as well to RSVP online. Rsvps!!!! 1

We're having our guests RSVP online and we won't be including RSVP cards at all!

I feel like having both options would make it even more complicated because you'll have some guests that RSVP online that you'll have to check, but then you'll have the ones that RSVP by card and you'll have to either keep up with them, OR manually enter them electronically which I feel defeats the purpose of online RSVPing.

Awesome! Is this a separate card from your invite?

Yes, I definitely feel that would be a hassle! Did you tell them to rsvp on the front/back of your invites?

I'm torn between printing on the back of the invites, or including a smaller details card! My concerns with printing on the back is that most guests won't think twice about turning it around, but if you put "additional information on the back" or something of that nature, I think it will be fine!

OH!!! I didn't think to put "additional details on back!" That would be a great idea.

I am having a coronavirus page on my website and want people to definitely check my site as well rather than getting a million texts/calls regarding any changing state guidelines etc. I've def gotten many questions on that so far.

I guess I'm just going to have to price it all out and see if I can fit it in my budget to do a rsvp card, details card, etc. or just do a details section on the back of my invite!

I used an outer decorative shell, inserted the invite, and had these cards printed to match the invite and tucked them in the pocket. Here's what it looks like all together!

Unless you're having a very formal or black tie wedding, I think online RSVPs are absolutely fine! Very common these days and a great way to save some money

Great! Definitely not super formal! I am mainly concerned it may seem tacky, but these days, I don't think it would be either!

We only did the "rsvp by phone" option for 3 older relatives who we talk to pretty frequently, so it isn't really any extra work for us!

Thanks! I saw the idea online. I had your same concern of, if I put it on the back, guests not bothering to flip over the invite.

Have a separate card with the info. WW websites do have glitches as many posts have mentioned so be aware of that and offer the option of replies by phone/text in addition.

Most people will not think to look on the back of the invite for extra info.

We had our guests RSVP on the website. We included a little insert with the website and a request to RSVP on there by a certain date with the invitation. It worked....well? Both FH and I had some people just text or call us with their RSVP and I just updated their RSVP on the website since that is how we tracked our numbers. We still had about 30 people who hadn't responded by the deadline, but they were people who likely wouldn't have mailed an RSVP card back by the deadline either. I agree that most people wouldn't necessarily think to look at the back of the invite, so I'd suggest a separate insert for the RSVP information.

Wow this part seems complicated I'm just going to Letters for the tables because writing all the names will be a headache. So when that time for this portion of the wedding that's we will be doing
