Rubber Rings

FutureMrsDini, on March 25, 2018 at 11:57 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 21
Hello ladies! Rubber wedding bands from companies like Qalo, Enso, etc are popular now a days for active couples. What are your thoughts on a woman wearing one when she’s engaged? Like to the gym, or during outdoor acitives? Should these only be worn once married? My bestie and I talked about this the other day! We both thought it was okay for engaged ladies to wear them, now tell me your thoughts! Happy Sunday.

I love them I felt anxious going to the gym and leaving my engagement ring behind (I had a "omg where is it?! "Panic like every 15 minutes) so I got my first rubber ring to still feel something there.

I don't think there's a rule that you need to be married to wear them.

I’m actually buying one today to wear while I’m engaged. I do some work in professional kitchens and you have to wear a flat band if you wear a ring, so I can’t wear my ring. I feel weird without a ring on, so a silicone band is my best option!

I wore my silicone ring at the gym, ocean, and hiking (my fingers swell with the elevation). I loved being engaged (and now married) and knew we would need them when married.

To each their own, but I really don't see the point. I go to the gym and work with my hands every day, I just take my ring off and leave it somewhere safe.

I LOVE my Qalo ring. I’m engaged and I wear it everywhere I feel like my ring wouldn’t be “safe” like the gym, being active, messy events etc. My fiancé loves that I have the option of either wearing my silicone band or my actual ring. We will be buying him one in addition to his wedding band. We are both active and both still want to have that symbol on our finger, no matter the metal or material. You always hear people say “I would have married him if he tied a string to my finger”, well the silicone is just a little more substantial haha

I wear my Enso ring to the gym, cleaning around the house, cooking where I'm chopping produce/meats, swimming/boating, camping...anywhere I don't want to wear my engagement ring and risk damaging it

I think it’s fine! I wear my mine to work. I’m a nurse and don’t want my ring catching or scratching anyone. Plus germs. Lol

I was actually proposed to with a Qalo ring. We were in Australia (from Cleveland, OH) scuba diving/beaching/rock climbing at the time. When we arrived back in the states, I got my 'real' engagement ring. As a nurse and a gym rat, I wear my Qalo ring the majority of the time.

I'm a bartender and learned the hard way (by losing a stone) that my job is too hard on my ring. I wear my silicone ring for work at the bar and then my actual ring for my banking job and basically anything else we do. I haven't had my ring through the summer months but my guess is that I will wear the silicone one for camping etc this year before we get married

We just got back from vacation in Mexico and I bought several different colors of the Enso rings for that and left my real engagement ring at home. Good thing too because I lost one of them!

A lot of my friends in college wore them while they were engaged. In my opinion it says you are committed to someone. My FH wears one because he doesn't like to be hit on at work. Personally I think that is so hilarious. I wear my qalo ring when I work out or do chores around the house, so I don't panic about not having a ring on. There isn't a rule that says you have to be married.

I wear mine to the gym or any type of athletic/sweating activities or if I just don't want to wear my diamond for some reason. I love them. I bought an 8 pack with different colors on Amazon for $12.

I’m engaged and wear mine all the time! I work in healthcare and cannot wear my E-ring so instead of walking around all day with out a ring on it’s a great option! Another plus is I wear it to the gym too because I hate the thought of metal weights scratchin my ring.

I also think "To each their own" but its acute (lol get it) idea for those activate couples. FH is a athlete and is getting me into being fit so I am considering this idea even though I have to pass the bill to FH first.
