Rug or no rug ?

Christina, on July 9, 2020 at 9:00 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 15

In 15 days I will be getting married outside of a Cabin. Lots of greenery. I’m going for a vintage theme/rustic gor my micro wedding. Like many brides my wedding was affected by COVID And I’m trying to make the most out of my big day. As of right now I’m struggling with how to make an isle or more of focus point as my weeding will be on zoom for my 200 plus guest and will be heavily photographed. Should I do something more simple ? Or do a rug ?

saw this on Pinterest and I didn’t know if it was crazy to make this come to life. Above is a Pinterest picture followed by my DIY arch and rug I’m thinking about. What do you ladies thing ? Worth the rug or no ?
I will be using real flower on my arch I put fake flowers on it for now to just see if this was the look I was going for. flowers will be big light pink roses, greenery and baby’s breath and I ordered more curtains a lighter pink and white

I'm personally not a fan of the rug, but if you like it that's all that matters.

I would skip the rug but that arch decor is gorgeous!

I agree with no rug. Maybe you could line the aisle with something (lanterns, led candles, e.t.c) to enhance the aisle? Rug or no rug ? 4

Sorry the rug would not look good outdoors. Skip it for sure.

Agree with the suggestion to line the aisle with greenery or something. Rugs look great on Pinterest but bunch up and lay funny in real life. I would also be afraid I would trip on the edge.

Yes to lanternsSmiley smile arch will look great! Rug looks almost heavy on the aisle, without looks softer and airy and more bride like in my opinion.
You could do an aisle runner if you just wanted something, but I think it will look magical as is.
    Congratulations !❤👰💍

I am renting a very similar rug but it is for an indoors/industrial type wedding venue so it will soften up the concrete floors a bit. I am not sure about the rug in the outdoor setting as you don't really need to add any "softness" but I don't hate it... I think you can go either way and your outdoor ceremony will be beautiful.

The rug is beautiful, but I think it will take away from looking at you and your FH. You want to be the focal point and all I see in those pictures is the runner.

If you want to keep is simple, put some light aisle decorations, but again - put the focus on you versus the decor.

I love this look as well with leaves or greenery lining the aisles! That or candles / lanterns will look awesome!

I think the rugs would look best if you were going for the boho look! As PP said since you're going rustic I would consider using lanterns

Although the rug is really pretty, I think I'm going to return it. I think the bold colors of the rug will mute your pretty wedding dress.
