We got married in July 2019 in Scranton, PA. Our colors were red and black with light pink and silver as accent colors. We picked red and black because my husband's favorite hockey team is the NJ Devil's (he's from Jersey) and that's their colors and I wanted red roses so it made sense. The red we used was super bright and kind of looked orange in some photos. I would've liked a darker shade of red, but I tried to match it as closely with the Devil's red as possible. At one point, we almost changed colors to grey and light pink because his brother's wife was considering red for their wedding and they got married six weeks after us, but then they went with dark green instead.

View Quoted Comment While I am totally bias, I think it looked very pretty. I think there are so many different color combinations out there that it can be difficult to decide. I know when we considered switching colors I was so overwhelmed at first because we knew way before we got engaged we wanted red and black as our colors so when my brother-in-law's wife told us they were thinking red I was furious at first then panicked because that meant I needed a whole new color scheme.

Yeah I totally understand that. I love blues and greens and silvers. But my fiance and I really can't decide on what we want. He really isn't to picky about colors, I want something that looks really good for a Rustic Christmas look or a Winter Wonderland look. I have so many ideas of what I want that I can't decide and it's so frustrating to figure it out. And this is a interracial marriage so it's even harder to figure out what goes good with their skin tones because I have some that are lighter than others and then I have some that are darker than others and then I have a couple that are medium toned, so it's really overwhelming to figure out.

Hi there! I'm getting married December of this year, and our theme is Whimsical Christmas! What color scheme did you end up deciding on? (:

Our colors are champagne, red, cabernet, emerald, and gold. We aren't setting on just 2. We are using pops of each of them throughout! I'm so excited for my Christmas wedding. Bridesmaids will be decked out in sequin and velvet champagne gowns with fur stoles, I'll be wearing a white fur myself. Our groomsmen will have matching velvet ties and the FH will wear a cabernet velvet tie and pocket square.

Our invitations are emerald green and gold. Our flowers are white, with dark red hypericum berries, pine, and fern. There will be some red flowers along our arbor as well as our sweetheart table. We really want that cozy Christmas feel, so we're bringing in real Christmas trees as our "backdrop" at the reception!

What about you guys?
