Rustic Decor and wedding/reception

Rustic in general is a very broad term. Pinterest will give you a wide range of ideas. Do you have a venue selected yet? Barn style venues tend to be most common for rustic themes, but you're not limited to that. there's a more romantic garden rustic type vibe (think outdoors with greenery, fairy lights, candles, long wooden tables), there's the traditional barn with a lot of wood elements and a lot of people tend to use things like burlap or lace and mason jars, maybe sunflowers or something like that. There's the boho rustic look that's been popular lately with pampas grass and neutrals. You can use wood elements (crates, slices of trees, pallets), you can use lighting (lanterns, candles), florals/greenery, long wooden tables with just a runner versus a full table cloth tend to look more rustic. Look on pinterest and instagram for ideas and to narrow down your vision of rustic.

Here are just a few of the things I’ve made and put together .. My wedding is a rustic barn theme. Our colors are rust, gold, white and black.. My centerpieces are blackish gold lanterns with the acrylic table numbers I made and a dark rust cheesecloth table runner .. then our florist is going to add eucalyptus and baby’s breath around it ! We plan to have white pumpkins lying around in some places too !
