Rustic elegant wedding 100 ppl in nj

Allison, on July 24, 2019 at 6:59 PM Posted in New Jersey Planning 0 23

Trying to find a rustic elegant venue for approximately 100 guests in nj...any ideas. All of the places want a minimum of 125 to 150 guests for a Saturday in 2020 and although we may go above 100 we aren’t sure we will hit 125. Help please! As a reference we like Stone House in Sterling, Perona Farms, Rock Island in Sparta amongst others. We’re losing hope and I know there has to be something out there!

Welcome to the WeddingWire community Allison!

Have you had the chance to check out the WeddingWire venue search tool? I’ve started a search for you here with New Jersey Wedding Venues, I’ve also filtered these venues so that they all have a capacity of under 100 guests.

Other filters you can add to your search are your preferred wedding date, the venue style, and required amenities. If you are interested in any of the venues, you can ready their customer reviews and check out images of the venue.

Have you gone on any venue visits yet?

    Hey Allison!

You should definitely check out Waterloo Village in Stanhope, NJ! It is 100% rustic elegant - it's actually an old preserved canal town and has so much character/charm. Their cocktail hour and reception spaces are amazing and with 100 people you would have plenty of space! They have great options for the ceremony as well - both indoor and outdoor.

Their caterers - JAM Catering - are farm to table and the food is so fresh and fantastic. Also, they are SUPER easy to work with and their packages make planning a breeze - per person pricing includes plenty of food, alcohol, some decor, bridal suite, cake, coffee bar, fire pit, and probably some more I can't think of.

They also have another venue, Bishop Farmstead, in south jersey if that is more your style.

    Hi Allison,

I too recommend taking a look at Bishop Farmstead. I’m getting married there this year and we are having about 100 guests. This is a new wedding venue that just completed renovations this month such as adding air conditioning and an elevator inside the big red barn. They have a beautiful area outside for the ceremony and a separate inside/outside for cocktail hour. Packages include the wedding cake and alcohol is BYOB. We had our tasting 2 weeks ago and the food was absolutely delicious. We are very excited to be getting married there. Good luck with your search!

My venue is a hidden gem and has the rustic elegant feel. It's called Abbie Holmes Estate in Ocean View NJ. It's very affordable (about $55 a person, with a site fee), BYOB, and only one wedding at a time. It's family owned and everyone there is so lovely to work with. They have tons of centerpieces to use, free valet parking, and you can have the venue all day long (as early as you want). I'm not getting married until next year but if you google image the place you will see photos. Here is one wedding I found online: https://www.kaleidoscopeimagery.com/abbie-holmes-estate-wedding-photographer/

    There is no minimum.

I'm not sure about what the minimum is but check out David's Country Inn in Hackettstown, NJ. Its vintage vibe is on point!!

Are you dead set on having your wedding in NJ? I’m not sure how far away you are from the Hudson Valley region of NY, but the Highlands Country Club is definitely a venue for a smaller wedding party, and it kind of had a rustic, historic feel. It’s very cute and quaint. (I thought it was at least lol.). Also, not sure if this is your thing but you can also get married at the Brotherhood Winery. Not sure what their minimum is but it seems like they shouldn’t have an issue with small wedding parties.

I’m actually having my wedding at Rock Island! We’re having ours on Sunday because it’s a minimum of 125. I know you may not think you’ll reach that number but keep in mind you always have to feed the photographer, videographer and possibly other vendors, and those people can count as plates. I know they are willing to work with you to make you hit the minimum.

    Hi Allison,

Waterloo Village would be right up your alley! I will be getting married there next month and when people ask me to describe it I always say it's rustic, elegant and romantic. It's truly breathtaking when you step on the property with all the surrounding greenery, adorable chapel, historic/rustic buildings, large fireplaces, wood accents, firepit, farm tables, mismatched chairs and more. Jeffrey A. Miller catering provides all of your accommodations and food made by master chefs and farm-to-table right off the property. Their minimum for weddings is 100 guests but they can accommodate up to 200 guests. There are very inclusive as far as decor, table settings and centerpieces. They also provide several ceremony locations on the property including a chapel, secret garden, and gazebo as well as a bridal cottage for you and your ladies to get ready in. We cannot wait to get married there and have our friends and family enjoy the food and atmosphere as much as we did.

    Hi Stacy,

We booked Hotel du Village in New Hope PA. It's around $160-$180 a person...not sure what venue you are referring to for $55 a person but it's definitely not mine 🤣 Good luck in your search and Congrats on your engagement!

Do you happen to have their direct email address? I sent a message for pricing but didn’t get a reply.
