Sad 😢, can’t get married

This almost happened to us! All the other city halls closed besides our hometown one so we decided on a backyard wedding and went and got the license. The next day, they closed! We just barely made it.

We ran in when the gov. hinter at a total shutdown. They shutdown the very next day.

Thanks girls , we are still 80 days out but maybe it’s the time but I feel like it’s not happening until further notice 😒

We were in the same exact boat! We already pushed out wedding date back to September but still had every intention of getting married on our original date in mid May. Keep checking your government website. A lot of counties are rolling out with an online pilot program to obtain your marriage license via email and a video conference call. We were heartbroken as well that our courthouse shutdown indefinitely. Then a few days later I checked online and they are doing it online! 80 days is awhile, and with so many other counties already doing it, I’m praying yours does as well soon! Pulling for you and I have faith it will work out!

I'm so sorry that wedding planning is not going the way you expected. It's completely normal to feel sad, frustrated, disappointed, etc.

If your local courthouse is closed and your county is not offering an online option for marriage licenses, you may have to wait it out. BUT 80 days is a while! From what I understand (I am NOT an expert), the current COVID-19 models/projections are assuming that we maintain social distancing through the end of May. Let's hope some of these businesses reopen by June!
