Angie , on July 7, 2018 at 10:47 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 14
Hi all,
As I know all of us brides are on Pinterest planning our weddings. The other day I came across a pizza bar and salad bar and I thought this would be a awesome ideaSmiley smile we were thinking about gourmet pizza of course. We wouldn’t get Pizza Hut or anything.
what do you guys think? Too trashy?
I added two pictures of what I’m thinking about.

If my FH finds out this is a thing and we didn't do it, I'm in trouble lol J/K. I love the idea. I heard about a wedding on here I think that had coal fired ones from a truck or something and that sounds amazing. I'm having pizza wedges as one of our appetizers, but this is so much better lol.

Mine can't eat a lot of pizza and would have to bring his own dressing so he'd go hungry.

I LOVE this idea. And have been to multiple weddings that had had it! Not trashy at all, just the opposite - a huge hit anddddd mighty delicious I might add! My favorite version had 4 options to choose from for pizzas and 2 salads, premade with dressings (they were light). It was an elegant setup with black tablecloths and cute little standing signs for each thing/type. And the best part, way cheaper than traditional catering. I say go for it!

Looks amazing! Your guests will be thrilled. Just make sure you have gluten free and dairy free options if needed.

I think this is nice! It’s perfect for like a backyard wedding or a more casual wedding! By no means is it a black-tie event dinner- but super fun and I would enjoy it as a guest!!

As long as you keep dairy and gluten allergies in mind and have something available for guests with those (or other) dietary restrictions, I think this is ok if you're having a casual wedding. If your wedding is more formal, I think the main course has to be something more than pizza.

This is the route we're going with! We found a gourmet pizza food truck that presents it buffet style. I love this.

I think it depends on your venue and crowd? I personally LOVE this idea. I'd be worried the pizza wouldn't stay hot though.

I am wanting to do this for my son's rehearsal dinner. I have contacted a restaurant that does brick oven pizzas. They sent me a bid for three pizza types, tea and water, one salad option, and the bid was $18 a person!!!! I thought that was rather high for pizza. Do you have any other suggestions for pulling this off that would be less expensive?
