Salt and Pepper mini glasses full vs. Packets.

on February 17, 2021 at 5:52 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 8
My wedding is fall/ rustic/ bbq is the best way I could describe it. I’m currently at a debate with myself. I’m not sure if I want to get salt and pepper packets or mini salt and pepper glasses I’ll have to fill. I’m trying to think practical as in when would I ever use them again. My future father in law made a good point with covid are we going to want everyone to touch the salt and pepper shakers. And before people touch the serving spoons we are going to have hand sanitizer available. What are your thoughts should I go with the mini shakers at each table or the packets?

I would do the packets and also just have someone serving the buffet rather than self serve.

I would probably say packets when considering COVID, but you can always play it by ear and see how everything is by the time fall rolls around

Packets. I am not a fan of disposables, but where a communicable disease is involved is the right time to use them.

Packets, for all the above reasons but also for the cost effectiveness. Guests don't remember little details so I wouldn't spend money on the nicer salt/pepper shakers.

I would do the packets. Because I thought of at the end of the day even, if you have leftover packets you could still use that yourself.

For casual, do packets. For formal, regular shakers

I don’t think either are necessary. Most caterers will season the food accordingly, so it’s not necessary to have extra salt and pepper available.

Packets- cost effective, safer, and goes better with the bbq theme.
