Same space cocktail and reception??? Taboo???

It really didn't dawn on me until now that I will be having a cocktail hr and reception in the same space. Is that a bad idea? What would the guest think? Would the tables stay clean for dinner? I do plan on having a lounge space, I just dont want a big mess of things. I guess we could look for a...

It really didn't dawn on me until now that I will be having a cocktail hr and reception in the same space. Is that a bad idea? What would the guest think? Would the tables stay clean for dinner? I do plan on having a lounge space, I just dont want a big mess of things. I guess we could look for a space just to have cocktail hr. I dont want to have ppl driving all over the city tho. What do u all think?????

    Mine is in the same room, and i'm kinda glad cause when it comes to djs if they have to move the equipment around, they can charge you more money, but i've been to a lot of weddings to where it's in the same room only one to where it was different

    I guess it depends on roo layout. If you have the lounge area why not have the cocktails in that area. Just get some highboys (the tall cocktail tables) and call it a day.
