Sam's Club flowers review

xray12280, on June 11, 2017 at 10:22 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 2 39

As promised here is my Sam’s Club flower review:

I purchased:

-wedding collection 33 piece, hot pink, green and orange

-gypsophilla million star, 6 bunches

-Gerbera Daisies - Fuchsia - 70 Stems

The flowers were scheduled for delivery on Thursday 6/1 for my Saturday June 3rd wedding. The day before delivery I received a tracking number for 2 of the 3 and started to panic. I called Sam’s and was assured they would arrive even though they still said pending. The tracking number said they would arrive by noon on 6/1. Someone is required to sign for the flowers, they will not leave them on the doorstep. All of the flowers arrived at noon, I had buckets ready to go.

The wedding collection included shears and plant food, the others did not include shears. The wedding collection came in two boxes, everything was labeled what it was and packaged very nicely. The bouquets and centerpieces were zip tied into the box and each piece was wrapped nicely in tissue and had a water soaked piece around the stems.

The Daises came in one box and each daisy had netting around the flower and a tube around the stem. they also came with food and care instructions.

The gypsophilla came it one box and was wrapped like the others.

The first thing I did was put the corsages and boutonnieres in the fridge. Then began clipping the stems and placing in water with food as instructed. My flowers looked great! We kept them in a temperature controlled room until bringing them to the venue on Friday and Saturday.

It was very time consuming and took a great chunk of the day to get everything done. If you do not have patience it is not worth it. I was frustrated and ready to be done with the flowers by the end of the, I did say a few times I should have paid the money for a pro, but in the end my flowers were beautiful and I loved them and the compliments I received made up for it. Pictures of the wedding collection, everything came arranged!

I think that is all for now, sorry for the duplicates and sideways pics. I can't fix that.

ETA; please ignore the boxes and trash bags, we are in the process of moving. My non-pro BAM coming soon.

The flowers you took to the venue Friday. Did they still look good come Saturday?

@futuremrsPayne. Yes, they looked great! When the flowers arrive they need a day or two to open up. It is suggested by Sam's club to have them delivered 2-3 days before the event. I actually have 3 centerpieces in my house and they are just starting to die.

    ETA: spelling

This is wonderful to know! I'm trying to find ways to save money on everything for my wedding because I'm going to have to pay for grad school too.
