Samsaidyes App

AJ, on May 28, 2018 at 6:03 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 11

Has anyone used the photo-sharing app called SamSaidYes at their wedding? They offer a free version where you download the app and create an event, then guests can download the app and scan a QR code at your wedding to join the event and share their pictures. They offer a premium version too that has a few added features. Currently they have no reviews on the App Store and I'm wondering if it's somehow a sketchy thing?

I plan on using wedsocial hurry because I know it's legit. It does the same thing as the one you mentioned and is offered through wedding wire

I thought I read that WedSocial required everyone to create a WW account? That was why I was looking for alternatives, I know there would be grumbling about that...

It only takes just a minute or so to download and setup, and honestly, if they are too bothered to do that, they probably won't share photos unless you bug them too.

From what I read, the free version has advertisements.

We did A LOT of research on photo sharing apps and ended up with Veri mostly because there is no end date to the storage of your photos.

Is it a different account than a regular WW account? Or like tied to the regular site? The reason people at my wedding might not like it is having to give their email. on the other they'd literally just download the app and scan a QR code, no email needed or anything.

Ok you're the second person to suggest Veri, so I'm trying to look at it. The App Store says in-app purchases, but doesn't say what you get for free or what costs might be, and every time I try to open the app it just closes right back out! Gah!

I recommend going to their website. They will give a discount code for it.

We went with the 5 event package and spent $100. This will get all of our pre-wedding events AND our honeymoon. We actually started using it already for a shower and it worked out great. The one thing I like about it is that when you invite someone via email or text, the system keeps reminding them to sign up as the date gets closer.

OH that's not too bad at all! I'll look into it more, thank you.

I like the pause feature with Veri. That prevents pictures from being shared prematurely...like when you're getting ready and taking pictures, but you don't yet want everyone to see them!
